A-Van 2 Hire: the story behind the start-up camper trailer hire business

“Do you know of anywhere that I can hire one of these to try it before I buy?…”. I wish we had a dollar for every time we heard that question as sales-people for the popular brand of hard-walled campers, Avan! We’d have had a nice starting kitty for our business, that’s for sure.

Danielle and Sharna are both very driven people and a short time ago we had the idea that we would start 3 businesses and see where they took us. With this vision in mind, we knew that 1-2 of those businesses needed to be as self-sufficient and as automated as possible: and so it seemed an easy decision, after Danielle had previously run a successful camper trailer hire company, that one of those businesses should be camper trailer hire. And the next easy decision was which brand of camper trailers to build our business on.

At A-Van 2 Hire, we have a wealth of knowledge around the Avan campers, so we know our fleet inside and out. We are driven by the idea of offering the best service possible to those who hire through us- be it for 2 nights or 2 weeks.

There’s a real sense of empowerment in being able to show someone how to use one of our campers, help them hook up and then send them on their way. For most people, A-Van 2 Hire is the only way they can get out and experience what Australia has to offer and we love that! Because, after all, “Life is all about the adventure!”
